The time has come for November's platform update. This month, we want to update you on the following topics: new ETABS & SAP2000 integration, set parameters from a WebView, developers can now create their own workers
In this edition's community spotlight, we have the Heatwave application by Build-ing.
Does this sound interesting? Keep reading for more information on this month's changes.
New ETABS & SAP2000 integration
Want to integrate ETABS or SAP2000 into your VIKTOR apps? Our new integration makes it simple to build apps that run ETABS or SAP2000 in the background, with results displayed directly in the VIKTOR interface.
Ready to dive in but unsure where to start? Check out our tutorial to guide you through!
Set parameters from a WebView
WebViews just got a major upgrade! As a developer, you can now capture the actions of users (e.g. a selection) within the WebView and automatically send the results to your app's input side, where it can be used for further calculations.
Ready to set up this interaction? Our JavaScript SDK allows you to send back all parameters with just one line of code. Learn more in the documentation.
Developers can now create their own workers
As a developer, you can now set up any third-party software integration with a worker directly for your development workspace - no need for your organization admin to get involved.
Want to get started right away? You can manage your workers for your development workspaces in your user settings! Learn more in the documentation.
Community spotlight
This month, we’re highlighting Build-ing's Heatwave application, designed to analyze historical data and reveal whether selected areas have experienced heatwaves. Powered by data from the European Space Agency (ESA) within the Copernicus program, this app is definitely worth exploring—give it a try!
Would you like to share your application with the rest of the community as well? Please let us know by sending an email to support@viktor.ai!
