What's new in VIKTOR (October 2023)

Visualize IFC files with the IFCView

No more writing your own custom code for visualing IFC files – We are introducing the new IFCView and IFCAndDataView.

With these new views, visualizing IFC files becomes a lot easier, quicker, and you can be sure no data gets lost in the process. You can directly use an IFC file in your view result without the need to convert it to glTF. Additionally, your app users will experience higher quality and faster visualizations too.

This is the first step in optimizing the handling of IFC files. Make sure to stay tuned!

Export organization and workspace users

Do you want to export the contact details of all users in a workspace or in your complete organization from your VIKTOR environment? This is now possible using bulk actions in the ‘users’ menu.

On both organizational level, as well as in separate workspaces, admins can now export CSV formatted files of users (including email addresses). This is especially useful if, for example, you'd like to create mailing lists in case of updates on the environment or workspace.

New IDEA StatiCa support + improved performance

Good news for IDEA StatiCa users: you can now integrate with the latest IDEA StatiCa Concrete version 23 in your VIKTOR apps! More good news: the latest open model version improved the performance for the previous version 22 as well, making calculation times much shorter.

If you'd like to start using v23 or benefit from the performance improvements, you can download the latest version of the worker (v5.4.1) from our website.

Community spotlight

For this edition, we want to highlight a Control Systems applicatio by Simone Bertoni. You can use the tool to define your plant transfer function, tune PID, see system response, gain margin, phase margin & delay margin of close loop systems.
