From April 14th, all VIKTOR environments will feature an improved user interface in which projects take a central role!
This update introduces a more intuitive way to organize and access your work. Applications are now grouped by project, aligning more closely with how engineering teams structure their workflows. The new homepage also offers quick access to recently used apps, helping users navigate the platform more efficiently.
With this release:

Note: The free version on cloud.viktor.ai will be updated to this new UI at a later date.
From now on, workers are linked to the app instead of individual workspaces.
This means every new workspace created for the app automatically has access to the worker—no setup needed. Developers working on the app also get access from their development workspace (a development worker of the same kind still takes precedence). This makes getting started faster and easier for everyone involved while keeping control during development.
You can now choose whether or not to show a confirmation modal when using our JavaScript SDK for WebView interaction, making your app’s experience even smoother and more flexible.
Previously, whenever a user clicked something in a WebView that changed a value in the app, a confirmation message would always pop up before applying the change. In some cases, this extra step wasn’t really needed and made things feel slower.
With this update, developers can now choose whether or not to show that confirmation message, making interactions faster and more seamless when needed.
For example, when a user selects an item in the WebView, the updated params can be applied immediately. Visit the documentation to read how you can implement this.
This month in the community spotlight, we have the ARK Risk Assessment Automation App by Thomas van der Linden from Gemeente Amsterdam. With this application, experts can now assess the risks of quay walls in Amsterdam using the ARK method.
What used to be a manual, time-consuming process involving spreadsheets, downloads, and repetitive data wrangling is now fully automated and visualized at the click of a button. Saving time on data processing means more time for actual engineering expertise!
Would you like to share your application with the rest of the community as well? Please let us know by sending an email to support@viktor.ai!
